Repair Café I October 1st

$0.00
Limit 2 per order

6-8pm at KW Library of Things

KW Library of Things is now offering a free Repair Café to extend the life of everyday goods, reduce landfill waste, and build repair know-how in our community!

What can be repaired, and what should you bring?

We repair items such as yard tools, small household appliances, housewares, umbrellas, gadgets, jewelry, sewing/patching, and sewing machines.

Please bring the broken item you want repaired, plus any additional parts, electrical cords, or batteries needed to test it.

What can we NOT repair?

We will not work on gasoline-powered equipment, welding projects, large TVs, microwaves, pressure canners, refrigeration equipment, appliances from other countries on different voltages, clothing alterations, or pant hems.

What if we cannot repair your item?

We try our best to repair all items, but if we can't fix yours, we suggest donating it for parts or recycling it safely.

What can I expect at the Repair Café?

You can expect to meet a handy KWLOT volunteer or staff member who will help repair your item and teach you repair skills along the way. Expect a community feel, with good tunes, and friendly faces excited to help you repair! We hope most repairs take less than half an hour, but we ask for your flexibility as some repairs may take longer. Come at the start of your time slot and we will welcome you then and update you on timeframes.

Join KW Library of Things for our first of many Repair Cafés!

This event is made possible through the Ontario Trillium Foundation Grow Grant.
